Recognition Ceremony at Sermey Thoesam School

On the morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, during our school assembly, we were honored by the presence of His Eminence Sermey Abbot Neten Rinpoche. In a heartfelt ceremony, Rinpoche presented a certificate and a Buddha statue to Mr. Lobsang Jamyang la, former principal of Sermey Thoesam School, in recognition of his dedicated service. Mr. Lobsang Jamyang la made significant contributions as a Tibetan language teacher during the formative years of our school and served as principal for over two years, up until the conclusion of the last academic year.

In addition, His Eminence bestowed Buddha statues upon Madam Tenzin la and Madam Jetsun Drolkar la as a gesture of deep appreciation for their financial support to the monastery. Their generosity has played a vital role in sustaining and nurturing our community, just like our other donors and friends.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Lobsang Jamyang la, Madam Tenzin la, and Madam Jetsun Drolkar la for their invaluable contributions and unwavering support. We pray for their continued happiness and a life filled with meaning and purpose.

Farewell of Khen Ripoche la Tashi Tsering

This year marks a significant yet bittersweet transition as we bid farewell to our esteemed former 91st Abbot and Chairman, Khen Rinpoche Tashi Tsering La, of Sera Mey Monastic University and Sermey Thoesam School.

After six years of dedicated and compassionate service, we gathered on September 12, 2024, in the school hall—a space that flourished under his guidance and hard work.
